Gilda S. (Penna) Melone, age 86, passed away peacefully in the company of her loving family on Sunday, May 1, 2016. Born and raised in Boston, she had resided in Holbrook for the past 18 years. Mrs. Melone was a loving and supportive wife, mother and grandmother. The beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Melone, she was the devoted mother of Janice G. Coury & her husband Richard and Joseph J. Malone, all of Holbrook and the late Linda A. Melone. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Joseph J. Melone, III, Jennifer Smith, Jessica Adams, Victoria Coury, Amanda Melone, Samuel Bonin and 4 great grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Friday 4 to 8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home Saturday morning at 9:30. Interment in Holy Family Cemetery, 92 Centre Ave., Rockland.
