Carlos E. Pacheco of Lowell died on Sunday, May 1st, at Tufts Medical Center of Boston. Born and raised in São Miguel, Azores, he was the son of Sizaltina (Cabral) and the late Olindo Pacheco. Carlos came to the U.S. in 1985, settling first in Somerville, then Medford, before moving to Lowell 13 years ago. He was a Union Carpenter and proud member of Local 2168.
Carlos was the beloved husband of Maria A. (Ferreira) Pacheco, and the devoted father of Elizabeth Pacheco-Coakley and her husband Joshua, Daniella C. Pacheco, Ashley M. Pacheco, and Brendan C. Pacheco. He was the cherished brother of Marcia Arruda, Fatima Clemente, Francelina, Antonio, Jorge, Olindo, Ana, Lucia, Miguel, and Manuel Pacheco, Gabriela Summons, and Sonia Pacheco. Carlos is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog Rocky Pacheco.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 9 AM on Friday, May 6th, at St. Anthony Church, 400 Cardinal Medeiros Ave., Cambridge. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, May 5th, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
