Obituary

BAR MILLS- Philip Wayne Thompson Sr. passed away on March 28, 2016. He was the loving husband of Connie Thompson. They shared sixty years of loving marriage together. He was born in Portland ME. Philip was the son of Emery and Alice Cook. He honorably served his country in the National Guard and was in active duty during the Berlin Crisis. Later he owned a towing and repair business in Buxton Maine for many years. He was volunteer member of the Bar Mills Fire and Rescue for over 40 years. He never met a stranger, he shared his faith with everyone he met giving encouragement and had a caring word for all. He was a member of the Gathering Community Church in Surfside Beach SC. He is survived by his loving wife Connie, his three children, Karen McCracken and her husband Donald of Surfside Beach SC, Philip Thompson Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Gorham ME, Amy Page and her husband Chad of Skowhegan ME., siblings- Carol Tubbs and her husband Donald of ME and Larry Thompson and his wife Karen of FL, Ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.


BUXTON, ME & South Carolina- Philip W. Thompson Sr., 80, husband of Connie, passed away on March 28, 2016 in SC.
A memorial service with fire department honors will be held on Sunday July 24 at 2 PM at the Hollis Center Baptist Church, Rt. 202 in Hollis.
