Obituary

WORCESTER-James F. Gibbons, III, 50 of 25 Montague Street died Thursday November 8th in Cancun, Mexico. He leaves his wife Sharon A. (Dumas) Gibbons; a son Christopher S. Gibbons and a daughter Lauren F. Gibbons both of Worcester. A brother Stephen Gibbons of Cape Cod; 5 sisters Ellen Kelleher of Falmouth, Maureen Lavallee and Rita Gibbons both of Worcester, Frances and Kathy Gibbons both of Leicester and many nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester son of James F. Gibbons, Jr. and Rita M. (Moriarty) Gibbons and lived here all his life. He was a graduate South High School. Mr. Gibbons worked as a machinist for the Kadant Co. in Auburn for 17 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, the Alhambra Knights of Columbus Council #88, and the Mt. Washington Observatory. He was an avid sailor and scuba diver.

The funeral will be held Wednesday November 14th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be Tuesday November 13th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mount Washington Observatory, P.O. Box 2310, North Conway, NH
