Obituary

Richard J. Dulac, 91, of 80 Corliss Hill Road died on Wednesday afternoon, July 6, 2005 at the St. Francis Health Care Center in Laconia.

Richard was the son of the late Joseph and Celenir (Lacasse) Dulac. He was born in Laconia on June 29, 1914 and had been a resident here most of his life moving to Meredith after his retirement.

Prior to his retirement Richard was the proprietor of RJ Dulac Floor Sanding and Refinishing for over 25 years.

Richard was a WWII US Marine Corps Veteran. He was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Laconia. After moving to Meredith he became a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was a graduate of St. Joseph School, and Laconia High School.

Richard was an avid winter sports enthusiast enjoying speed skating, skiing, and ski jumping. Richard was a member of the former Winnipesaukee Ski Club as a Ski Jumper and won several ski meets, as well as the Baystate Skating Club.

Richard was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Violet (Daoust) Dulac in 1988.

Richard is survived by two sons, Richard J. Dulac, Jr. and his wife Carol of Budapest, Hungary, and Ronald J. Dulac of Gilford, two daughters, Betty Dulac of Worcester, MA, and Joanne Reynolds and her husband Bruce of Meredith. Three grandchildren, Eric Taylor of Danbury, NH, Caitlin and Britta Dulac both of Bristol, NH, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday July 11, 2005 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 300 Route 25, Meredith at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Richard B. Thompson, pastor of the church celebrated the mass. Burial followed in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield Street, Laconia. Family and friends were invited to attend. There were no visiting hours.
