Regartha Mitzel, 87, of Manchester, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Villa Crest Nursing Care of Manchester. She was born August 25, 1928 in Minot, SD and was a daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Roth) Heinz. She was raised and educated in South Dakota, and resided in Derry for over 25 years.
Regartha, was a homemaker and longtime member of St. Peter Church of Auburn. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Members of the family include two sons, Richard Mitzel and his wife Ellen of Nashua, NH. and Kenneth Mitzel of Manchester, NH, two daughters, Deborah Corcoran and her husband Joseph, of Santa Clarita, CA and Tamara Bolduc and her husband Denis of Manchester, two grandchildren, Patrick Hughes and Alysa Janiak, her brother and sister, Paul Heinz and Katherine Fischer, both of Aberdeen, SD and sister, Maggie Werts of Wilwaukee, OR., as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, William Mitzel in 2002.
Calling Hours were held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 5 to 8 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematory, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH. A Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday April 27 at 10:00 am, at St. Peter Church, 567 Manchester Road, Auburn, NH. with burial that followed at the NH State Veterans Cemetery, Rt. 3 Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the American Diabetes Association, NH affiliate, 249 Canal Street Manchester, NH, 03101.
