Loretta R. (Letendre) Lacaire,93, formerly of 87 Pleasant St., died
Friday, July 1 at Quaboag on the Common in W.Brookfield. She was the wife of
Norman J. Lacaire who died in 1968.
She leaves a son Ronald J. and his wife Simone Lacaire of Brookfield, her
daughter in law Jeanette Lacaire of E.Brookfield, 9 grand and 13 great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a son Richard N.
Lacaire in 2000, two brothers Leo and Charles "Dick" Letendre and two
sisters Eleanor Gilks and Lillian Letendre.
Mrs. Lacaire was a licensed practical nurse working in area nursing homes
before retiring in 1975. She attended David Prouty High School in Spencer
and graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School in Worcester as a
licensed practical nurse. She was a former member of the YWCA in Worcester
where she was an avid swimmer for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's
Church.
Born in Cochituate, she was the daughter of Ovid and Eliza (Barrett)
Lacaire.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 6 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's
Church, 60 Maple St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary, Queen of the
Rosary Cemetery, Spencer. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to Guardian Hospice of Mass., 47 E.Main St.,
W.Brookfield,01585. J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr.,
Spencer is directing arrangements.
