Paul F. Hicks, 78, of Pillsbury Rd., Londonderry, NH died Saturday May 18, 2002 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH following a lengthy illness. Mr. Hicks was born in Londonderry on March 17, 1924 the son of the late Daniel F. and Hazel (Plummer) Hicks and had been a lifelong resident. Mr. Hicks was a 1942 graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Derry, NH. He served with the US Army Air Force during WWII. Mr. Hicks was a life member of the American Legion Post #27, Londonderry where he had served as Past Commander. He had worked for Merrimack Farmers in Derry and later owned and operated Paul’s Citgo and Paul Hick’s Repair, both in Londonderry. He was a member of the Londonderry United Methodist Church, Londonderry.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Arlene M. (Kingsbury) Hicks, Londonderry, three daughters, Linda Bowen, Manchester, Jane Hicks, Londonderry, Deborah Hicks, Londonderry, one son, James P. Hicks, Londonderry, four grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, four brother, George Hicks, Robert Hicks, Daniel Hicks and David Hicks all of Londonderry, one sister, Shirley Belger of Maine, also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2002 at 10:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Londonderry. Calling hours will be Monday from 3-5 and 7-9pm in the funeral home.
