Robert C. Miller, 75, of Westport, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the son of the late Charles and Helena (Wendt) Miller.
Mr. Miller was born in Manson, IA and served his country in the United States Navy. He worked as a detective on the Fall River Police Department for 20 years. Following his retirement, he enjoyed doing carpentry work and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his son: Christopher J. Miller and his wife Joanne of Gibsonton, FL; his daughter: Roberta A. Perry and her husband Michael of Westport; his many grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and his longtime friend and former partner from the Fall River Police Department: Bruce Mosely.
The Family would also like to extend their sincere thanks to Heidi Johnson for her caring friendship and support for Mr. Miller.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 1-4 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Funeral service and interment will be private.
