Manning, Marcella Mary (Simon), 87, passed away April 10, 2016 at her home.
She was born to Ward and Elizabeth (Lashley) Simon October 30, 1928.
Marcella was a Homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She sold Avon for 50 yrs., and received many awards for her accomplishments. She was an avid member of St. Helen’s Catholic Church, where her husband, Herman, was president of their Athletic Association.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 36 yrs., Herman Manning.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Marsha E. Manning-Lindauer (Rodney), Sharon D. Ohlmann, and Mark A. Manning (Lynn); five grandchildren: Nicole Manning, Amber Embry, Shawn Manning, Mark Ohlmann, and Marissa Manning; six great-grandchildren; a brother: James E. Simon (Wanda); and a sister: Elaine S. Buehner.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4005 Dixie Hwy. Burial will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, with visitation Wednesday 2:00-8:00PM.
