Obituary

SANBORNTON - Ronald F. MacPherson, 69, of 36 Skyline Drive, died Saturday, April 9, 2016, at home with his loving wife of 48 years, Frannie, by his side.

He was born on June 26, 1946 in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada, the son of the late William and Margaret (Taylor) MacPherson. Ronnie served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated mentor, and a well-respected leader with a lifetime of experience as a construction superintendent building some of the largest and most prestigious projects in Boston while working for Suffolk Construction for over 20 years. He always lent a helping hand whenever asked and as a master carpenter he enjoyed woodworking and working outdoors. He was a loving husband, father and “Papa” who loved riding his Harley, watching his grandkids play hockey, an avid NASCAR fan, and spending time outdoors or in PEI with family. He will be greatly missed by his trusty dog Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Francesca (Shea) MacPherson of Sanbornton, three sons; Corey MacPherson and his wife Donna of Waltham, MA, Jason MacPherson and his wife Christine of Dracut, MA, and Kyle MacPherson of Stowe, VT, three brothers; John MacPherson and his wife Janice of Quincy, MA, Robert MacPherson of Framingham, MA and Gordon MacPherson of Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada., one sister, Cathy Farrell and her husband Pat of Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia Canada., five grandchildren; Sydney, Joshua, Isla, Marissa and Reagan, one sister-in-law, Claire MacPherson of West Roxbury, MA and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, his brother, Leonard MacPherson, predeceased him.

Calling hours will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Wednesday, April 13, 2106 at St. Andre Bessette Parish - St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia.

Private graveside services with Military Honors will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the NH Veterans Association, Inc., PO Box 626, Concord, NH 03302-0626.
