Carla J. Leonard, age 69, died Saturday July 2, 2005 at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading after a lengthy illness. Born in Passaic, NJ she was the daughter of the late Hazel M. (Bellgarde) & Fred W. Noechel. Carla was a Woburn resident for the last 25 years, formerly of Lexington. Carla worked for Barry Controls Company of Cambridge, for over 20 years, retiring in 2001. She worked as a supervisor in the computer room.
Carla was the devoted mother of Philip E. Leonard of Chelmsford, John F. Leonard of Woburn, Christopher W. Leonard and his wife Margaret (Clasby) of Simpsonville, SC. Loving grandmother of Kyle, Nicholas and Carrissa Leonard. Beloved friend of Marcia Berg of Watertown and the former wife of John W. Leonard of Langdon, NH.
A funeral service will be held in the McLaughlin-Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Thursday at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday Evening 7-9. Interment will be private.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Carla's name to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, 320 Haverhill St., Reading, MA 01867.
