DANIEL RICKETTS II
NORWICH- Daniel E. Ricketts II, 30, a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 1, 2005 at W.W. Backus Hospital.
He was born in Norwich on March 5, 1975 the son of Daniel Edward Ricketts of North Stonington and Deborah Ann Gregoire of Mystic.
Mr, Ricketts was employed at in the Entertainment Department at Foxwoods Resort and Casino for the past eleven years. He was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy. He was a loving father who enjoyed spending time with his daughter. He also enjoyed books, martial arts, fishing, music, traveling and was an avid Patriots Fan. He was also proud of his Native American Heritage.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Raina Lynn and her mother Theresa O’Reilly; his sisters, Tiffany Ricketts-Burley, Wunanittounkwequai and Nagawutteae Gregoire and his brother, Justin Ricketts, grandparents, John and Shirley perry, many aunts, uncles, nieces, a nephew, cousins and loving friends.
Daniel’s family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic, on Thursday from 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday at 10am. Burial is private. Donations in his memory may be made to his daughter, Raina, for her future care and education, c/o the funeral home.
