MULLINS, Elizabeth (Cummings), 90. Longtime resident of West Roxbury, peacefully on April 2nd. Beloved wife of Robert W. Mullins, M.D. (recently deceased) with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Daughter of the late Elizabeth and Daniel Cummings. Loving mother of Judith Mullins and her late husband Michael Stapleton, Robert Jr. and his wife Nancy, William of CA., Daniel, Paul, Betsy and her husband Peter Olguin of CT, and Frederick and his wife Laura of IL. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sister of Ann Stott of Camillus, NY. Sister-in-law of the late Priscilla and David Davis and Paul and Patricia Mullins. Betty graduated from Mass Memorial and was in the Cadet Nurse Corps. She worked as a surgical nurse for Dr. Layton Johnson, and at Boston Specialty and Rehab hospital for 12 years. She also served as a Longterm Care Ombudsman for the past 17 years and spent many happy days as a volunteer at Rosie’s Place. Betty was a wonderful wife and mother. Her kind, caring ways and strength will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, April 8, 4-8pm at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Theresa’s Church, West Roxbury on Saturday, April 9 at 10am. Interment Holyhood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Rosie’s Place/www.rosiesplace.org.
