Edward Joseph Bacci. Age 78. Husband of Jennie (Szczepkowska) Bacci. Residence 147 S. Main St., Assonet. Died Friday in Fall River. Born in Fall River. Son of the late Americo Bacci and the late Theresa (Pieroni) Bacci. He was a Fall River resident for nine months and previously an Assonet resident for 35 years. He was a retired mechanic and he also worked for the Bridge Department of the Massachusetts Department of Public Works. He and his wife enjoyed dancing. He was a WWII US Army veteran. He was a parishioner of St. Bernard Church, Assonet.
Besides his Wife of Assonet, he is survived by 1 Daughter: Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Garant of Assonet. 1 Brother: John Bacci of Brockton. 1 Sister: Delores Zenuch of Mechanicsville, VA. 2 Grandchildren: Richard E. and Amanda Lee Garant of Assonet. Several Nieces and Nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Wednesday at 9 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church, Main St., Assonet at 10 A.M. Internment in Assonet Burying Ground. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8 P.M.
