New Bedford – Bernice V. (Perry) daSilva, 84, of New Bedford died Friday, July 1, 2005 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Luiz M. daSilva.
She was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late George H. Perry, Sr. and the late Hilma L. (Vaughan) Perry, and had resided in Boston prior to moving to New Bedford over 40 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church, New Bedford. She had worked at Peter-Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Mrs. daSilva loved to crochet and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Including her husband, she is survived by a brother: George H. Perry, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Acushnet; a sister: Muriel A. Turner and her husband Joseph of Acushnet; a niece; 4 nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
She was the sister of the late Carl A. Perry and Donald I. Perry.
