My dear mother, Ann (Mancini) Monroe, 91 years old of Andover, passed away on April 1, 2016, after a long period of declining health. Ann was the daughter of the late Bernard and Martha (DiDucca) Mancini and grew up in Allston, MA, later moving to Tewksbury and Andover.
Ann worked for many years at WT Grant. She spent her time caring for her family, shopping and especially playing bingo. Ann was the kindest person I ever knew, she never had a bad word for anyone unless they yelled “Bingo” before her. She was a wonderful mother, wife and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Joseph Monroe of Andover, daughter; Sandra “Sam” Monroe of Bradford and grandson; Barry Aruda. Ann was pre-deceased by her son; Donald and many brothers, sisters and dear friends.
At the request of the family, there will be no services. Donations in Ann's memory may be made to the MSPCA-Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844, or Choose Care and Kindness and pay it forward whenever possible.
