Leland E. “Lee” Morgan, Jr. passed away peacefully at home in Medford surrounded by his family. He was 84. Born and raised in Malden, he was a Medford resident for nearly 50 years. He was the son of the late Leland E. and Philena (Hadley) Morgan. During his younger years Leland joined the Malden High Track team becoming a star instantly. To this day he still holds an undefeated record. Leland was an entrepreneur. He founded and worked for over forty years at the Imperial Badge Company where he was proud of making all types of awards and show ribbons plus many kinds of badges for all types of athletic teams. He enjoyed his career until the last day up to his retirement.
The beloved husband of Marie (Tomasi) Morgan and the late Louise (Teneriello) Morgan, he was a devoted father of Kathleen Morgan, Donna Maher and her husband George, Leland E. Morgan III and his wife Paula, Terry Slattery, Thomas Slattery, Liane Morgan and the late Michael Morgan. He leaves his loving grandchildren: Gina and her husband Greg, Laura and her husband Joel, Leland IV, Adrian, Eric and his wife Gina, Michele and Daniel. He was also a loving great-grandfather to Gensen and Kate.
His funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, April 7th at 11 AM followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday 4 – 8 PM.
