FALL RIVER – Ion Nelu Pecsi, age 62 of Fall River, passed away on March 29, 2016. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Nelu was the beloved husband of Florinda (Sousa) Pecsi and the son of the late Ianos and Melpomena (Velcopol) Pecsi. He worked as a Sales Rep. for Cardi’s Furniture.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter: Silvia Petcu of France; step-children: Kevin Oliveira and Deborah Bergeron both of Fall River; grandchildren: Alexandro, Emma, & Nicoleau Petcu; step-grandchildren: Brayden & Baylie Bergeron. He was the brother of the late Silvia Madog.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, on Thursday, March 31st with visitation from 8:00-9:30 A.M. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, N. Main St. Fall River at 10:00 A.M.
