Mrs. Willie Mae Clark, 86, of Fitzgerald, Georgia left her residence on June 29, 2005 to go home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 2, 2005, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. D.E. Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Clark was born September 15, 1918, in Turner County, Georgia to the late Ernest and Ora Smith Barnes, moving to Fitzgerald in 1937. Mrs. Clark retired from Belk- Hudson after 25 years, during which she was named Fitzgerald Sales-Person of the year. Westside Baptist Church was her church home, where she was an active member.
She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Rutherford and Gail Clark, both of Fitzgerald; adopted daughter, Mary Ellen MacArtan of Mystic; daughter-in-law, Thelma Clark of Fitzgerald; four grandchildren. Teresa Paul, Stephen Gordon, Chad Rutherford, all of Fitzgerald and Jonathan Gordon of Folkston; ten great-grandchildren; niece, Varnelle Conner of Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Weldon Kinchen and A.E. “Dude” Clark.
