TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Roberta Joan (Anzalone) Pucko, age 64, a Tewksbury resident for the greater part of her life, died unexpectedly at her Tewksbury home, Sunday, March 27, from an apparent heart attack. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. “Bob” Pucko, with whom she had celebrated a forty-second wedding anniversary this past September 28th.
Roberta was born in Boston in September 1951, daughter of the late Robert and Joan (Scaring) Anzalone, and raised in Malden, where she graduated from Malden High School. She went on to graduate from the Chelsea Soldiers Home School of Nursing and become certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Beginning her career at Chelsea Soldiers Home, Roberta devoted her life to nursing, working at Malden Hospital and several hospitals and nursing homes in Hollywood, Fla., before returning to New England, where she served at Oak Island Nursing Home in Revere and Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover.
In addition to her beloved husband, she leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. Pucko, Jr. and his wife Rachel (Beardsley) of Northport, Ala.; a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Madeline Muscillo of Easton, Ma.; sister-in-law Gerry (Pucko) Bennet and her husband Howie of Waterboro, Me.; sister-in-law Diane (Pucko) Gallant and her husband Joseph of Saugus, Ma.; nieces and nephews, Diane Jaeger of Easton, Ma., Joanne MacMillan of Bridgewater, Ma., Toni Rego of West Bridgewater, Ma., Valerie Callahan of Whitman, Ma; Derrick Gallant of Cambridge, Ma.; Allen Bennet of Saco, Me.; Paul Bennet of Saint Rose, La; and Brian Bennet of Lyman, Me.
Visiting hours are Friday, April 1, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in Ma. or 978) 851-2950. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 2, at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church, 163 Chestnut St., Chelsea. (Please meet at church, no funeral procession from Tewksbury.)
