RAYNHAM – Antone Perry, beloved husband of Lorraine F. (Fortier) Perry, died peacefully surrounded by his family at his Raynham home on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
He was 88.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Antone B. and Mary M. (Braga) Perry.
Educated in Taunton, Antone served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
He was head of maintenance for Stonehill College for many years, retiring in 1994.
A sports fan, Antone especially enjoyed baseball and was an avid Yankees fan.
He also enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his wife of 62 years, he leaves three daughters, Debra Flight and her husband Jonathan of Pembroke, Gail Gordon and her husband Brian of Taunton, and Sandra Coelho and her husband Albert of Raynham; a son, Paul Perry and his wife Sandra from Carver; two sisters, Ann Perry, Elaine Correia, and the late Mary Mello all of East Taunton; ten grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher and Samantha Flight, Brian, Nicholas and Michaela Gordon, Lillyana, Taylor and Nikolas Coelho and Josh Oliveira; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Tuesday, March 29th at 8:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 28th from 4 to 7 p.m.
