Mary L. McIntire, of Woburn passed away peacefully, March 21, 2016, at the Winchester Hospital, following a lengthy period of declining health. She was 88 years of age. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Arthur J. McIntire Jr. Born in Woburn she was one of three children of the late Francis and Mary Margaret (Carroll) Reagan.
Mary was a life long resident of Woburn. She attended Woburn schools and was a graduate of Woburn High School. Mary worked for many years as a cafeteria worker in the Woburn Public School System. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling, taking many trips to Hawaii and enjoying many cruises with her husband and friends. She also enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod and was always looking forward to her next shopping excursion and meeting with her friends for coffee. When at home in Woburn she liked to spend time at Horn Pond walking and taking in the scenery. Mary was strong in her Catholic Faith and was an active parishioner of St. Charles Church for most of her life.
Mary is survived by her children; Cheryl McIntire and Arthur J. McIntire III, both of Woburn. She was the sister of the late Frances Williams and Bill Reagan. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Helen Kebs and her husband John of Barfoot Bay, FL and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn, Saturday, March 26th, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family prior to the services from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
