Mr. Dennis Dean Maynard, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 19 in the Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton. He was the beloved companion of Alicia Marie Reilly of Stoughton. He was born 44 years ago in Plymouth, the son of Kathleen (Govoni) Johnson and the late Anthony Maynard. Dennis was educated in Taunton and had been a city resident for most of his life. He was employed as a truck driver for several area firms. He was previously a self-employed painter who operated Fresh Coat Painting of Norton. He was a member of the Taunton Lodge of Elks, and was active in the Elk Riders Motorcycle Group. Dennis was a former member and Vice President of the Taunton Chapter of the Jaycees. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, social gatherings with his friends, and spending time with his children and his beloved pet, Taffy. He was a member of the Winthrop Street Baptist Church in Taunton.
In addition to his companion, and his mother, of Carver, he leaves: 2 sons: Joshua Hyson of Taunton, and Jarrod Maynard of Stoughton; 1 daughter: Brittany Maynard of East Providence, R.I.; his maternal grandmother: Jeanne Caron of Carver; 3 brothers: Jason Galford-Maynard of Fall River, Gregory Maynard-Stascavage of Cranston, R.I., and Jack Bailey of New York, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wednesday, March 23 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. A Prayer Service will be conducted at 7:30 P.M.
