MYSTIC- Judith (Martin) DuFlocq, 68, of 3 Cornwall Court, Bishop’s Cove, Mystic died Thursday at her home.
She was born October 26, 1933 the daughter of Winefred E. and Violet (Bush) Martin.
Prior to her retirement in 1984, she was employed as an adminstrative assistant at Pfizer.
Active in community affairs, she had served as a Groton Town Councilwoman and had served on the Groton Republican Town Committee and the Representative Town Meeting. She was also a member of the Mystic River Historical Society, Child & Family Services, Visiting Nurse Assoc. of Southeastern CT, and the Mystic Jr. Women’s Club. She also served on the Board of Directors of the Bishop’s Cove Assoc..
She was married to Robert E. DuFlocq in Mystic on December 22, 1977. Mr. DuFlocq died October 1, 1987.
She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Smith of Niantic; two sons, Michael McDuffee of Northbridge, MA and Christopher McDuffee of Midland Park, NJ; two stepchildren, Richard DuFlocq and Sharon Oliveta. ; two brothers, David Martin of Michigan and Daniel Martin of Illinois & Fla., two sisters, Bonnie Reynolds of CA and Sue Speed of West Virginia, 5 grandchildren and a great-grandaughter.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Sunday from 5-7pm. her service will be conducted at Mystic Congregational Church on Monday at 11am. Interment in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.
