DUDLEY – Zofia (Wonicka) Bysiewicz, 85, of 11 Mason Road, died Monday, June 27, in Umass/Memorial Healthcare, Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Chester Bysiewicz; a son, Dennis C. Bysiewicz of Medford; a daughter-in-law, Laurie S. Bysiewicz of Webster; a sister, Victoria Krajewska in Poland; 5 grandchildnren and 4 great grandchildren. A son, Richard Bysiewicz of Webster, died in 2002.
She was born in Poland, a daughter of Joseph and Helen (Boron) Wonicki, and moved to Webster in 1950. She lived here since 1959. During World War II, she was subjected to performing forced labor on farms in Germany.
Mrs. Bysiewicz worked at Stevens Linen Associates for 11 years. She was then a frame adjuster at the American Optical Company in Southbridge for 13 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Church.
The funeral will be held Thursday, June 30, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours are from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday, June 29, at the funeral home.
