Christian Lee McGuirt
On March 13, 2016 Christian Lee McGuirt known by his friends, family and loved ones as "Chris" passed away at age 30 due to injuries sustained in a tragic car accident (March 3) on the way to his home in Horstense, GA.
He was born and raised in Fernandina Beach. He graduated from FBHS where he played football from middle through high school. He moved to Camden county only to meet the love of his life Katie Kitchens, married and had 2 beautiful children Allison Christina McGuirt and Daniel Hunter Lee McGuirt.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. Chris was a simple, honest, hardworking, southern family man. His last hours were spent surrounded by his family and friends as he passed.
He is also survived by his biggest fans grandmother,Alice McGuirt, mother, Patricia Cloud, step-father, Stephen Cloud, aunt, Marie Driggars, uncle, Larry Brower, cousins Megan McGuirt-Mora (Irving Mora, husband) Courtney Driggars, Brooke Eakes (Chris Eakes, husband), Allen McGuirt and Brandy McGuirt, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, at Green Pine Funeral Home.
The following Wednesday, March 23, at 11:00 a.m. there will be a graveside ceremony at Bosque Bello Cemetery.
Chris was well loved by all he met. He will always be cherished and live on forever in our hearts.
