GOULDSBORO, ME – William R. Mooney, 79, died unexpectedly at his Gouldsboro, Maine home on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Born in Dighton, he was the son of the late William and Alveda (Rogers) Mooney.
He was a graduated of Taunton High School, Class of 1954, and served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years as a Medic. William was also a member of Moose Elks Lodge in Ellsworth, ME.
Survivors include his sister, Jean Coe and her husband Norman of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Joan Philbert.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway on Thursday, March 17th at 12 noon. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will be receiving visitors from 11 a.m. until 12 noon, prior to the Services.
