Harriet A. (Dini) McDonald passed away in the company of her loving family at her Falmouth home on Saturday, March 12th. She was 80 years old. Raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Aristodemo and Assunta (Gallagani) Dini. A Somerville resident for many years, she lived in Medford for 32 years before retiring to Falmouth 20 years ago. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed the company of family and friends. A talented and frugal financial manager, Harriet raised her five children, providing them the best while making the most of each dollar she spent.
The beloved wife of Robert T. McDonald, she was the cherished mother of Robert T. McDonald, Jr., Lisa Valdario (McDonald) of Winchester, Christine McDonald, David McDonald of Falmouth, Sean McDonald and his wife Lisa of Stoneham. Harriet was a loving grandmother to Robert, Eric, Lauren, Nicholas, Catherine, Olivia, Kylie, Jillian and Hannah. The dear sister of Theresa Ghiloni of Medford, the late Cesira Pacini and Ermelinda Bucchianeri, she also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday, March 18th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
