Obituary

Gregg Edward Schade, age 55 of Sharon, passed away surrounded by family in the early morning of March 11th at the Norwood Hospital.
He was born in Chicago IL on November 4th, 1960 to Kenneth and Clare Schade and uniquely shares the birthday with his mother.
He attended Central Bucks High School West in Doylestown PA and previously lived in Topsfield, Waltham, Jamaica Plain and Dedham MA, before moving to Sharon 20 years ago.
He worked as a supervisor for Puraqua, a commercial pool service company located in Waltham MA. He took pride in working for the same company for over 30 years and developed many close friendships with co-workers, contractors and customers alike. He was known as the go to guy in his industry to solve any problem, big or small.
Gregg was an animal lover, excellent cook, avid gardener, the ultimate handy man, and a true New England Patriots fan. He had a handful of Patriots shirts and sweatshirts that he would wear during each game to support the team, and his favorite player of all time, Tom Brady. He could whip up a full meal from leftovers in the kitchen and could fix any mechanical problem he ran into.
He embraced his German heritage and lived by the common phrase “if you are going to do something, do it well.” He enjoyed sharing his German ancestry with others through celebrating holiday traditions and cooking traditional meals. He truly lived to provide for his family and was always there to help others who needed it.
Gregg is survived by wife Lynn Schade (Ciolkowski), daughter Kate and son Max Schade of Sharon MA, father Kenneth and mother Clare Schade of Englewood FL, brother Bruce Schade of Lansdale PA, Uncle Robin and Aunt Carol Schade of Madison NY, and cousin Carrie Schade of Orland Park IL. He also leaves behind 3 sister in laws, 1 brother in law, 6 nieces and nephews and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18th at the Boston University Marsh Chapel, 735 Commonwealth Avenue, with a reception on campus to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Boys and Girls Club Waltham (www.walthambgc.org) would be appreciated.
