Velma Diane Mims, 46, of Fitzgerald, died, Sunday, March 13, 2016, at her residence.
Graveside rites will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County with the Rev. David Biggers officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
Mrs. Mims was born April 2, 1969, in Fitzgerald, to the late Lesiselott Mohr and Lorie Clifton Lott. She enjoyed anything outside and loved to watch TV and she especially loved her dog, “Pac man”.
She is survived by her significant other: Tim Slaughter of Fitzgerald; her children, Jeffery Shane Mims and Kristen Nicole Mims both of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Carly Jaden Mims, Aubrey Dakota Mims and Aiden Outlaw all of Fitzgerald; brother, Timothy Lott; sister, Yvette Hattaway of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
