BENEDICT – Of West Bridgewater formerly of Pembroke, Harold L., age 69, June 26, 2005, peacefully at home with family after a long battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Genevieve M. (Danberg). Loving father of Elaine Webster of Marshfield, Mark Benedict of Taunton, Lee Ann Vieira of Wareham, Laura Banner of Taunton, Denise Coveney of Taunton, and Alan Benedict of Brockton. Dear brother of Margaret Fickett of Ocala, FL, the late Alvin Benedict, Helen French, and Sylvia Goyette. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 ½ great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8:00 PM at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St., (Rte 123), Brockton, ending with words of remembrances at 7:30 PM. Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Harold maybe made to Old Colony Hospice One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368 and/or a charity of one’s choice.

Harold L. Benedict, age 69, of West Bridgewater formerly of Pembroke, and washashore of Martha’s Vineyard, died June 26, 2005, peacefully at home with family after a long battle with cancer. Husband for 30 years to Genevieve M. (Danberg). Born in Natick to the late Alvin and Margaret (Lamphiere) Benedict. Harold attended the Weymouth School system and then followed his father into the pipefitting trade with Local 537. Throughout his career he attended school with the union to achieve master pipe fitter. With his expertise in his career, Harold was known to his colleagues and all as “the man with the golden arm.”
Mr. Benedict was an avid pilot, master chef, enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and especially his dogs and cats. Harold was a member of the Phoenix Masonic Lodge of Hanover.
In addition to hi his wife he is survived by his children Elaine Webster of Marshfield, Mark Benedict of Taunton, Lee Ann Vieira of Wareham, Laura Banner of Taunton, Denise Coveney of Taunton, Alan Benedict of Brockton, and a sister Margaret Fickett of Ocala, FL. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 5 ½ great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Harold was the brother of the late Alvin Benedict, Helen French, and Sylvia Goyette.
