Lucy (Lucia Ieronimo) Pierce, 77, passed away on Wednesday, March 9th at the Brockton Hospital.
Lucy was born in Brockton on October 13, 1938, to Josephine (Papa) and Nicholas Ieronimo. She was a graduate of Brockton High School, Class of 1956. Lucy was a loving mother, who worked at the Brockton Enterprise for many years.
Lucy was the wife of the late Gerald Pierce; Mother to Debra Pierce and Stephen Joyce, Teri and Michael Hoelscher, Gerald (Kip) and Maureen Pierce, Vicki and Russell Kenney, and the late Patrick Pierce; Grandmother to Nicole, Joey, and Christopher Pierce, Jarrod, Betsy, and Jacob Kenney, Jenny and Emily Hoelscher, Nathan Pierce, and Rhiannon, Vanessa, and Shiela Saganetti; Great Grandchildren Owen and Maggie Kelley; and Sister to Ginny Bradbury, Cam Ibbitson, Nicky Ieronimo, Joanne Ieronimo and the late Mary Parsons and Joseph Ieronimo. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Her Services will be held on Monday March 14th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Visitation will be on Sunday March 13th from 3:00-7:00PM.
