MARTOS, RAYMOND J. of South Boston and Dorchester on March 8, son of the late Anthony and Margaret Martos, brother of the late William Martos, and the late Paul Martos, Mitzi, Paul’s wife of one year and their daughter, Meg. He is survived by his brother, Robert, and his wife, Pat. His lifetime closeness to the Gillis family made him a member of it. He will be missed by his close friends including Steve Malley and all his friends from South Boston. Ray graduated from South Boston High School in 1950, and then served in the US Air Force. He was a salesman most of his life and gained fame in the critically acclaimed movie “The Salesman” by the Maysles Brothers. Ray worked for a period of time at the Hillbilly Ranch in Boston, and in the Virgin Islands and Germany as a sales rep. He will be interred with Military Honors in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, on Thursday, March 24, at 11:30 am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. www.lawlerfuneralhome.com
