In Brockton, March 4, 2016 Kathleen (McCarthy) Dupont, Age 76, passed away in Good Samaritan Hospital following a period of failing health. Kathleen was the wife of the late John R. Dupont Sr. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y.C., the daughter of the late Owen McCarthy and Helen (Slevin) McCarthy. Kathleen had resided most of her life in Taunton, where she was a graduate of Taunton High School. She was employed by the Commonwealth of MA as a crisis intervention counselor. Kathleen enjoyed dining out with her friends and above all cherished her time with family, especially her grandson Kenny Dupont and girlfriend Adele of Taunton. Kathleen leaves her two loving sons John R. Dupont Jr. and his wife Lori of Taunton and Michael E. Dupont and his fiancée Sheryl Corley of East Freetown. She also leaves her siblings Jean McCarthy, Mary Ripley and Ann Unger all of Taunton and Owen McCarthy of Dighton and the late Isabel Butler and Margaret Unger.Kathleen also leaves several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Friday, March 11th at 10 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday from 5-7 pm. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton.
