Ruth M. Wright, 64 of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, June 24, 2005, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 4 P.M., Saturday, June 25, 2005, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Rebecca, with Rev. Joe Wiggins officiating.
Ms. Wright was born June 1, 1941, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Seaborn and Annie Pauline Coleman Moody. She lived in the community for the past ten years from Tifton, where she was a member of the 4 Square Pentecostal Church. Ms. Wright was a former gospel singer with the Tifton Echoes. She was a former vegetable grader and a former employee of Tifton Chemical Company.
Ms. Wright is survived by her daughters: Cynthia Davidson of Annapolis, MO, Pauline Kemp of Piedmont, MO, Marilyn Curtis of Carnesville and Darlene Strickland of Tifton; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters: Sudie Musselwhite of Fitzgerald, Sylvia Wiley of Ashburn, Reba Whitley, Bernice Black, Ann Walsh and Vameer Mitchell, all of Fitzgerald; brothers: Richard and Curtis Moody, both of Albany.
