Lawrence P. Quirk, 76, of Rockland, formerly of Whitman, passed away on March 3rd in the Webster Park Rehabilitation Center in Rockland after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Patricia A. (Pryor) Quirk.
He was born in Boston, son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Kearney) Quirk.
Lawrence was a resident of Whitman for many years and was a self-employed painter.
He is survived by his children, Lawrence Quirk and his wife Christine, Thomas Quirk and his wife Cory, Joseph Quirk, William Quirk and his wife Wendi, Shawn Quirk, Robert Quirk and his wife Lisa, Deborah Collins and Patricia Griffin and her husband Frederick, his sister Mary Ellen Slicis, also 16 grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Edward Quirk.
His services will be held on Monday, March 7th at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visitation will be on Sunday March 6th from 2:00-6:00PM.
