Joseph J. Rebello, 76, formerly of Shrewsbury died Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at his residence. He was born in New Bedford, son of Antonia and Laura (Pires) Rebello. He was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Class of 1952. He served in the U.S. Navy and owned Rebello Drug and Ridgeway Pharmacy, both in Worcester. He retired as a pharmacist for the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, was a member of the Worcester Elks Lodge, and relocated to Florida in 2003.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, June (Auger) Rebello; 2 sons, Anthony Rebello of Ponce Inlet, FL and Joseph Rebello of Stow, MA; 1 brother, Valdemar Rebello of Oregon; and 3 grandchildren, Alecia, Michael, and Devin.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton. Calling hours will be held Monday, June 27, from 5-8 p.m. at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester.
