Our beloved Frank Mora passed away early Sunday morning. He is the younger brother to Delores Mora (previously passed) and Sonny Mora, older brother to Rick Mora, father to daughter Irma and son Ricardo, grandfather to Yasmin, Jaysin and Yadira and Great-Grandfather to Anthony and Joshiah. Frank is a former Bail Bondsman, Bartender, and Salesman but you were most likely to find him working on charitable programs with the Elks, Veterans of Foreign Wars and, most recently, the American Legion in Oxnard where he was affectionately known as “the Governor”. Frank was instrumental in organizing events such as golf tournaments and trips to fundraise for student scholarships, severely-ill children and/or burn victims. He was especially gifted at bringing people together and telling stories.
Never one to focus an event on himself, Frank requested no official mass or funeral service be held upon his passing. In keeping with his wishes while still allowing those who wish to pay their respects an opportunity to do so, a viewing time will be available at the Joseph P.
