Maurice C. McGrath, age 93, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Feb 24, 2016. He was born in Holyoke on Sept. 16, 1922 to the late Maurice and Elizabeth (Bourguignon) McGrath. Maurice was a WWII Army Veteran. He worked as a contractor for many local companies until he retired. He was a life member of the VFW post 9236 in Hernando Beach, FL. He leaves his sweetheart of 44 years Virginia “Jenny” Linton of Chicopee, one son, Maurice C. McGrath of Holyoke, three daughters, Charlene Hartinger of FL, Cheryl Lane of Chicopee and Kim Galeai of FL, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by three sons David, Steven and Kevin. A Memorial Service will be held on Mon Feb. 29, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
