Gloria Ann Griffin, age 86 of Medford, peacefully passed on Tuesday February 23, 2016 after a long fight with cancer with her family by her side. Mrs. Griffin had been an area resident all her life. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Shriners “Motor Patrol”, a longtime member of Fidelis Circle, & served 14 years on the Rainbow Girls Advisory board. She is now joined in heaven with her late husband Robert W. Griffin, her loving mother Levinia Gummeson, Martha & Lester Griffin, sister Virginia and Robert Johansen, brother Clive Gummeson, Hugh Faulkner, Ronald Noyes, and Scott Mackenzie.
She is survived by her sisters Peggy Faulkner of Medford, Betty Noyes of Maryland, Sally Gummeson of North Andover; Her daughters Lynn Sousa-Mackenzie of Tewksbury and Holly and Thomas Quinn of Medford.
Gloria loved her grandchildren: Robert Sousa, Andrea Sousa and her partner Chris Carney, Shannon Pearson and her husband Christian, Sean Quinn and his partner Tiffany Allder, Stephanie Cameron and her husband Nathan.
Her great-grandchildren: Patrick, Christian, and Jaycob Pearson, Maddison Quinn, Harper Cameron were very special to her.
Aunt Go-Go was very loved by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
We love you Sister, Mother, Nana, and Great Nana. You are our Angel in Heaven.
Visiting hours will be held Friday February 26, 2016 from 4-7 P.M. at Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, MA.
Her funeral will be held in the First Community United Methodist Church, 55 Otis Street, Medford, MA on Saturday February 27, 2016 at 10 A.M. Burial will be held in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA.
