Filomena J. (Moscone) McInnis, age 92, of Winchester, formerly of Billerica and East Boston, passed away on Feb. 22, 2016, lovingly surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife for 47 years of Alfred J. McInnis, until his passing in 2000.
Mrs. McInnis was born in the North End of Boston, and raised in East Boston. A homemaker, Mrs. McInnis loved being around her family, especially her cherished grandchildren. She loved taking care of them, and her daughters remembered how she enjoyed shoveling snow and raking leaves, and would often widen the skinny paths that they had shoveled after a snowstorm.
Filomena was the loving mother of Cheryl Chiuccariello and her husband Mario, and Jean Fox, all of Winchester. She was also the devoted grandmother of Mario, Michael and Michaela Chiuccariello, and Erik Fox, and is further survived by a great-grandson, Mario Enzo Chiuccariello. One of fifteen children, she was the dear sister of Anna, Carol, Anthony and Michael, and the late Johnny, Nelson, Joseph, Fred, Eugene, Kenneth, Paul, Lucy, Frieda and Eleanor. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Thurs., Feb. 25 from 4-8PM, and then again on Friday at 9AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 10AM. Interment will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
