Carol Ann (Regan) McCarthy 72, of Natick died unexpectedly, Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her home.
She was the beloved wife of the late John P. “Jack” McCarthy who died in 2004 and mother of the late Sean R. McCarthy who died in 2010.
A Natick resident for 42 years, she was born in Cambridge and raised in Watertown the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Dorothy (Wescott) Regan.
Mrs. McCarthy was Registered Nurse for 36 years retiring in 2011. She was an Emergency Room Nurse at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge from 1975 to 2003 and worked at Beth Israel Deaconess in Needham from 2003 until 2011. She received her Nursing Degree from Mount Auburn Hospital School of Nursing. Carol enjoyed trips to Aruba was dedicated to her family and especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons Michael P. McCarthy and his wife Heather, Brett McCarthy and his wife Mary all of Natick, grandchildren Maxwell, Carly, Madeline, Jack Michael, Peter, William, and John Edward, brothers Paul Regan and his wife Claire, Dennis Regan and his wife Lori, her sister in law Susan Regan, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Peter, David and Edmund Regan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, February 26th at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick’s Church at 10:00 A.M.
Visiting hours are Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.
Interment St Patrick Cemetery.
