Worcester- Simon Moreta Roa, 77, passed away on February 20, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on October 28, 1938 in San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic. He served his country honorably in the Dominican military. Simon worked in transportation from the age of 18 until he immigrated to the United States in 2005. For 9 years and up until his death, Simon worked at Clark University in food services. He was a very joyful man who befriended everyone. Simon spent his free time watching baseball and playing dominoes with family and friends.
Simon is survived by his 3 sons, Freddy, Digno, and Guillermo; 2 daughters, Jacqueline and Sayuris; 14 grandchildren,and 2 great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at the CALLAHAN-FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Following local services he will be buried in the family plot in the Dominican Republic.
