Patrick R. Malley, age 85, a resident of Duxbury, Massachusetts, recently passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016, at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston.
He was born April, 1930 in Buffalo, New York. After graduation from Canisius High School, he joined the United States Air Force and served as a pilot in the 53Able Squadron. He received his degree at Canisius College in Buffalo. He married Ruth Burger in 1955. Patrick sold scientific instruments nationally and internationally for DuPont, JEOL, Finnegan MAT and Bruker Daltonics.
He and Ruth made their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts for 37 years. Patrick was a member of the Holy Family Church. Patrick believed in being a life long learner, both personally and professionally and loved spending time with his family and playing golf.
He is survived by his son, Patrick R. Malley, Jr. and his late wife Susan of Chester Springs, PA; his daughter, Kathleen and her husband Darin MacFarlane of Duxbury, MA; granddaughters, Kayleigh MacFarlane and her fiancé Cameron Miller, and Mariah MacFarlane; his nephews, Michael, William, Daniel, and Brendan Malley and their families; and his sister-in-law, Mary Jo Ketchum and husband Don of Elma, NY. His wife Ruth Malley, and brothers Raymond and William predeceased him. The family thanks all his extended family and friends who supported him.

Funeral services at the Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, on Friday, February 19, 2016, at 9:00 AM, followed by his funeral Mass at the Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be held at the Mayflower Cemetery, 774 Tremont Street, Duxbury.
