BRIDGEWATER - Margaret A. "Honey" (Wallace) Cox, 61, of Bridgewater died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of David E. Cox.
Born in Chelsea on Nov. 15, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Margaret (Wallace) Quinton.
Mrs. Cox had been a resident of Bridgewater for the past 38 years.
She was raised in Stoughton and was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1961.
Mrs. Cox was a past president of the Bridgewater Academy Lions Club, where she received the Melvin Jones Award.
She was a past coach in the Bridgewater Youth Soccer Association and a member of Red Hat Ladies Society.
Mrs. Cox was also an election worker for the Town of Bridgewater.
She was a former member of the Bridgewater Academy Bowling League and enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband David, she is survived by her children, Melissa A. Kane and her husband Larry of Florida, David E. "Ricky" Cox and his wife Kerry of Bridgewater and Daniel E. Cox and his wife Krissy of Bridgewater; two sisters, Judith Carr of Florida and Karen Vale of Plymouth; her grandchildren, Robbie, Jason, Ryan, Tayla, Cassidy, Nolan, Ethan, Adan and D.J.; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ronald Wallace.
A funeral service will be held in the Scotland Trinitarian Congregational Church, Pleasant Street, Bridgewater, Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater.
