Leominster – Edward L. Chastain Jr., 73, of Leominster, died in his home on Thursday, February 4th with his family by is side.
Mr. Chastain was married for 49 years to Shirley A. (Cheeseman) Chastain and is also survived by a son, Scott Chastain and his wife Susan; a daughter, Robyn Kirby and her husband David; 7 grandchildren, Cheyenne, Erik, Nicholas, Isabelle, Paul, Ryan and Sarah; a great grandson, Oliver and many nephews and nieces.
Ed was born in Fitchburg, son of the late Mellenise C. (Daigle) Chastain and adopted by Edward L. Chastain Sr. He is also predeceased by a daughter, Hollie Reid and a sister, Beverly Reid who both died in 2009.
Mr. Chastain is a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Crocker Technical Paper where he worked for 32 years.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 13th at 11 AM in St. Camillus Church, 333 Mechanic St. Fitchburg. Burial will be at a later date in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Fitchburg.
