Thomas F. Maher, 71, of Quincy, formerly from Norwood, MA, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his own home January 28, 2016. As a loving father he leaves behind three children, Thomas F. Jr. of South Yarmouth, Sean K. of Dracut, and Kimberly M. of New Bedford, and former spouse Patricia A. of Chatham. He also leaves his cherished granddaughter, Olivia M. Dear brothers Paul and his wife Pamela of Dennis, Robert and his wife Carolyn of Sudbury, and Frederick and his wife Judy of Tybee Island, GA. Also survived by his loving aunts Phillis Nolan and Marie Thomas. Born and raised in Brookline, he attended Brookline High School and Northeastern University. He enjoyed playing hockey and golf as a young man, and was an avid reader. He took great pride in his work as a Supervisory Bank Examiner for the Division of Banks, for the Commonwealth of Mass. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave, Milton. Wed. February 10th, 5-8pm. Interment private.
