ASSONET: Clare R. (Grace) Correia, age 72, of Assonet, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at home with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Anthony Correia and the daughter of the late William P. & Dolores (Roche) Grace. Prior to retiring, Clare worked for N.E. Telephone Co. as a Supervisor, was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, enjoyed crafting, was an avid sports fan, and spending time with her family.
She was the mother of James Correia (wife Patricia) of Holden, MA, Paul Correia (wife Mai) of Fall River, Peter Correia (wife Christine) of Haverhill, MA, and the late Victoria Correia; grandmother of Adam Correia; sister of William Grace (wife Carol), Mickey Rodgers (husband Douglas), Virginia Gouveia (husband Steven), and the late Maryellen Grace; several nieces & nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Southcoast and the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their loving care and support for Clare.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard Church, Assonet at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
