Coffey of Westwood June 17, 2005 Robert A. Coffey 67 years. Beloved father of Allan Coffey of Kingston; Andrea Coffey of Taunton; Daniel Coffey and his wife Sandra of Langhorne, PA; Deanna L. Auger and her husband James of Brockton; Sam T. and Chris Coffey both of Westwood. Loving companion of Kathy Hanson of Brewster.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 7 pm with visitation 6-7.
Obituary
Mr. Coffey died Friday afternoon at the Guardian Skilled Nursing Center in Brockton after a lengthy illness. He was born and raised in Dorchester a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Brown) Coffey. Before entering the nursing home he had been a resident of Brewster and Westwood.
Following graduation form Dorchester High School he enlisted in the US Navy. In 1990 he retired as a district manager for Friendly’s Ice Cream after many years of service. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking and loved to travel.
He is survived by his six children Allan Coffey of Kingston; Andrea Coffey of Taunton; Daniel Coffey and his wife Sandra of Langhorne, PA; Deanna L. Auger and her husband James of Brockton; Sam T. and Chris Coffey both of Westwood. He was the companion of Kathy Hanson of Brewster.
He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, two sisters Virginia Leydon of Dorchester and Evelyn Carty of PA; a brother Joseph Coffey of MN and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Ann Knight and Philip “Buddy” Coffey
